Aqua Planet (aquaplanet.me) is a free planted tank and freshwater aquarium blog. To keep it free, the site may earn money in a few ways. This page explains each one, so you always know when there’s a commercial relationship behind a link or post.
Affiliate links
Some posts contain affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is the same either way.
We only recommend products we believe are genuinely useful for aquarium keepers, and we try to say who a product is not right for, as well as who it suits. A commission never decides whether a product is recommended. Affiliate links are marked in the code as sponsored, and posts that contain them include a short note near the top.
Advertising
Aqua Planet may display ads from Google AdSense and other ad networks. These ads are chosen by the ad networks, not by us, and seeing an ad on this site is not an endorsement of the product or company. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies work and how to opt out of personalized ads.
Sponsored and guest posts
We sometimes publish guest posts and sponsored content from other writers and businesses in the pet and aquarium niche. Any post that was paid for is clearly labeled as sponsored, and paid links are marked with a sponsored tag. All guest and sponsored content is edited to meet our standards for accuracy and usefulness.
Free products
If we ever receive a product for free to review or feature, we’ll say so in that post.
Our promise
Our advice is written to help you keep healthy fish, plants and invertebrates. If something isn’t worth your money, we’ll say so, even if it means no commission.
